Executive Committee
Benoit Brodeur
President
Benoit Brodeur is the founder and president of Coach Export, a certified fitness trainer education platform with over 25 years of experience developing qualified coaches and personal trainers across Quebec and Canada.
A lifelong student of bodybuilding and physical culture, Benoit served as President of the Quebec Bodybuilding Federation (FCPAQ) for approximately 20 years. In 2011, he co-founded the APQ (Association des Physiques Québécois), transforming what had been a government-controlled federation into a privately run organization with greater freedom to grow and develop the sport.
Trained by legends including Vince Gironda, Mike Mentzer, and Robbie Robinson, and having trained alongside Tom Platz and Bertil Fox, Benoit has traveled the world from Tahiti to California studying the science and art of building muscle. He has promoted countless competitions and brought world-class athletes to Quebec as guest posers. He now serves as President of IFBB Canada.
André Maillé
Vice-President
Born and raised in Lac Simon, Quebec, André Maillé is one of Canada’s most decorated competitive bodybuilders. After placing 2nd at the CBBF Canadian Championships in both 1980 and 1981, he won the national title in 1982 — earning his first international appearance at the IFBB World Championships in Brugge, Belgium, where he placed 5th.
André went on to place 3rd at the Mr. Universe competition in London in 1985, before achieving his greatest athletic triumph in 1986 — winning the prestigious Mr. World title in Las Vegas, Nevada, taking first place in the Heavyweight category and being crowned Champion of All Categories. This recognition took him on tour across more than 20 countries as a sports and fitness ambassador.
André holds a degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the Université du Québec and a diploma in Fitness Training from the Ben Weider Institute in Montreal. Since 2002, he has organized numerous championships including the Classique André Maillé, and is the founder of GlobalFitnessWorkouts.com. He now serves as Vice-President of IFBB Canada.
Paris Petrou
Vice-President
Born in Athens, Greece and raised in Canada, Paris Petrou is a media and communications professional with over 30 years of experience in broadcasting, public relations, marketing, and content strategy. He trained in journalism at the Journalism College in Athens before building a career that spans continents and industries.
Paris is the founder and General Manager of Morstar Media in Montreal, and the founder of I Shoot Muscles — the exclusive official photography brand for IFBB Canada events, with nearly three decades dedicated to capturing the dynamism of athletes, bodybuilders, and fitness models. He previously served as Marketing and Development Executive for IFBB Quebec-Ontario.
An award recipient from both NABBA and the GBF for his contributions to promoting a healthy lifestyle and natural bodybuilding, Paris is also an author of four books, including Picture-Perfect Physique: A Guide to Preparing for a Photo Shoot, available on Amazon. He now serves as Vice-President of IFBB Canada.
